Eastlawn requires general rules to be followed in relation to maintenance of lots to ensure that the cemetery remains clean and attractive.
General Rules and regulations:
A minimum of 48 hour notice is required before a burial is scheduled
There is a five flower basket limit to remain on lot after burial.
If lot decorations, plants and flowers are left on a grave, a bed with border must be created to hold these items. If items are left without a bed and we are not able to weed wack and/or cut the grass, the items will be removed.
The cemetery will be clear all seasonal holiday decorations left on lots no more then one month after the holiday. If there is anything you want to keep to use again please come and retrieve it before that time period has elapsed (ex. 4th of July decorations are to be taken down by August 4th.)
Stones are the responsibility of the lot owners. If your stone if uncentered, damaged, has fallen over or is being pushed over by a tree or enveloped into a shrub that was planted or has grown out of your lot from lack of maintenance then it is up to the lot owner to have that work arranged and paid for. If a stone is in need or repair or service, and no one has made efforts to correct or fix the stone, the cemetery will fix it, and the lot will be labeled an orphan grave and will revert back to the cemetery for future care and maintenance. Should a Family member claim the lot for future use they will need to pay the cemetery for the stone and grave maintenance done on their behalf
The Cemetery DOES NOT provide any greens, tents, or lowering devices. If you require one of these items for a burial, but are not using a Vault company please be advised you must make arrangements for these items or have an alternate option that the cemetery must approve.
